IO-Eye Fusion

IO-EYE FUSION builds upon Bitgear’s proven IO-Eye snapshot camera technology, with its primary application in waste management. Developed in collaboration with our partner ZTERS, the device incorporates vast domain expertise in waste management into every design decision.

This innovative sensor fusion of snapshot image, ToF, and radar sensors delivers unmatched accuracy and confidence in waste detection and classification, even in harsh conditions (dust, obstructions, etc.), ensuring maximum uptime and operational autonomy. IO-Eye FUSION unlocks new AI-powered digital services and business models previously not possible in waste management.

Camera:

Full HD image sensor with wide angle lens (DFOV 120 degrees) with LED flash and on-device JPEG compression.

Time of Flight (ToF):

Multisegment (8x8) time-of-flight based laser distance meter with range up to 4 meters.

mmWave Radar:

Complementary non-optical distance meter for more reliable and more robust fullness estimation.

Cellular Networking:

Low-power LTE communication (NB-IoT and LTE-M), supporting global frequency bands.

Positioning and Geofencing:

Multi-constellation GNSS receiver for geopositioning, enabling various geofencing functionalities.

Low Power EDGE Processing:

An innovative sensor fusion design combines multiple low-power sensors and on-board algorithms to capture changes in the physical environment.
